Does this seem weird?

This is sort of a whim of mine but I'm thinking that when I have the money I'd like to buy a sewing machine and use it to make some throw pillows, pillowcases, blankets, and other projects. I've wanted to make some of these things for a while so I can have my own design but now I think I am going to do so.

I think it's pretty cool actually. Most guys think that's too feminine or something. I wish I could sew. It's a really useful skill. I had a friend when I was young who knew how to crochet. And he was like 10. I think that's a little bit weird, but also kinda cool. Lol.

Yeah. Well its partly because I've been wanting to get some new pillows and the ones I like are way too expensive. I figured I might as well make my own and save myself some money. I remember growing up my Mom taught us how to make pillows out of washcloths so I've got a basic idea of what to do. Who knows I might be able to make some to sell if I get good enough at it. I think I would like to learn how to crotchet as well as knit. It probably seems weird but those two skills could be useful such as crocheting or knitting a beanie hat.

if you want to knit a beanie hat, then get a round loom, it's really easy, i've made them before. i think it's really cool that you have an interest in the more 'femmy' parts of goods construction. although, you won't be saving any money at first, because the supplies are expensive to buy, and so are fabrics and whatnot, but eventually it all evens out. right now, i'm in the process of getting things together for my summer cross-stitch project: i'm going to stitch a pattern on a section of linen, and then pick out a backing fabric and then make it into a pillow. the pattern? goku and vegeta's battle poses from when they first fight in DBZ season 1! i can't wait to start it! ^__^
